The Spark Launch was more than a celebration – it was a powerful demonstration of youth voice + leadership, community trust, and a shared commitment to creating safer, more inclusive, youth-led spaces in south west Sydney and beyond.
Young people shaped every moment of the night, taking up space with confidence and showing that lived experience is the foundation of Spark’s work, while the presence of local youth workers, community organisations and service providers reflected strong support for our approach. The launch also became a meaningful pathway into ongoing youth leadership, with young people stepping into facilitation roles and returning to future Spark events in the following months.

I’m so humble to be able to be given a platform like this, all I’ve ever wanted as a kid was a chance to give back to the community and make the world a better place and I feel like it’s all finally happening! I can’t wait to see what the future holds!”
